The drug sofosbuvir, which is a member of the class of medications known as antiviral agents, is found in Sovihep V Tablet. Hepatitis C virus infection, a type of viral infection that attacks the liver, is treated in adults and children (aged 3 years and above) using SOVIHEP 400MG TABLET in conjunction with ribavirin/peginterferon alfa and ribavirin (antiviral medications). Patients who are allergic to sofosbuvir should not take Sovihep V Tablet. If you have diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, hepatitis B virus infection, or any other liver condition, let your doctor know before using SOVIHEP 400MG TABLET.

Ribavirin, an antiviral medication taken with sofosbuvir, may harm an unborn child, it is not advised for pregnant women or women trying to get pregnant to take Sovihep V Tablet. Pregnant women should use reliable contraception to prevent becoming pregnant and should regularly test positive both before and after treatment (for 9 months). If an accidental pregnancy occurs, you should tell your doctor right away. Additionally, as it is unknown if the medication would pass through breast milk, it is not advised that it be used by women who are nursing.

Children under the age of three should not take SOVIHEP 400MG TABLET, and patients 65 years of age and over should only take it under the supervision of a physician.
